In addition to our award-winning facilities and preserves, we also offer many programs and events throughout the year. Check the calendar to browse upcoming events and register online. For program updates outside of normal business hours, call 630-933-7200.

Connect with Nature

You’d be amazed at what a one-hour walk with one of our skilled and friendly naturalists will do for you. You’ll see the woods through new eyes after joining one of our fun and casual programs. The wild places we explore are stunning: this isn’t the Lake County you see from the highway. Treat yourself to wildflowers, maple syruping, bird songs and more.
When attending outdoor events, proper dress will help to make your outing enjoyable. Comfortable shoes or boots that keep your feet warm and dry are a must. Always dress for the weather.

School and Scout Programs

Outstanding schools are one reason many people live in DuPage County, and forest preserves enhance their fine work. We bring both nature and history alive year-round through exceptional programs and facilities.
Field trips, after school programs, scout tours, classroom presentations and family outings offer myriad ways for your kids to learn. Fun and adventure are emphasized through hands-on experiences.

Senior Programs

Our educators offer a variety of fun and informative programs for seniors, including nature or history themed presentations and seasonal Habitat Walks in preserves across the county. In addition, senior groups can assemble for guided tours at special facilities of interest.
